one night in beijing

one night in beijing
男: one night in beijing one night in beijing

[Yahoo] Toolbar FireFox

toolbar.yahoo.com/firefox
1 比Google工具栏好在可以使用My Web功能,相当于集成了del.icio.us啊, 很方便;
2 直接给所有带RSS的页面增加了添加到my.yahoo.com的功能,相当于集成了 Bloglines啊;

Gmail » Blog on 27th Floor

Rebecca MacKinnon: Cisco's actions are 'odious'Former CNN Beijing bureau chief Rebecca MacKinnon has been organizing a campaign of sorts against American technology companies that she believes are complicit in censorship and other sinister activities on the Chinese Internet. This writer is very happy to have the Internet at all — I remember the days when it was a struggle to get hold of a copy of Time magazine in Beijing. Whereas in China today today, you have access to almost as much information online as anyone in America, although it is slightly more difficult to find out about certain topics that the Communist Party would rather no one talked about. If Cisco is blamed for filtering the Chinese Internet, they should also be praised for being a part of building it in the first place. Nonetheless, Rebecca MacKinnon is more idealistic, and believes Cisco is guilty of what she calls "corporate thuggery". Yesterday on her blog she published an email exchange with a Cisco representative about her (and other writers') accusations. Unfortunately, because of China's meddlesome Internet Nanny, you can't see MacKinnon's website in China without using proxy servers. So I have taken the liberty of posting the whole thing below for comrades residing within the clammy embrace of the Nanny. If you're outside China, you can see MacKinnon's blog post here: My conversation with Cisco. Otherwise read on here...

Source favicon09:30 Debate over China's national flower » Danwei RSS 2.0
Plum BlossomWith 5000 years of history you can't have just one National Flower. China is finding it difficult to chose a single representative from among the vast field of candidates that show up throughout traditional art and culture - peony, plum, orchid, chrysanthemum, bamboo, water lily, Chinese rose, azalea, camellia, osmanthus, and narcissus. Front-runners all along have been the peony (牡丹) and the plum blossom (梅花). And now 62 scholars from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering have thrown their weight behind a "dual national flower" plan to name both flowers to the position. The Recommendation Concerning Setting the Peony and Plum Blossom as National Flowers as Early as Possible calls China's lack of a national flower a hinderance both to propagation of China's rich heritage of flower culture and to the flower industry's ability to compete on the world stage. As the only major nation without a national flower, China should be spurred to make a decision by the impending 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2010 Shanghai World Expo.
