盘点完5大网络服务，继续盘点2005年我最喜欢的5大软件，继续我的年终回顾与展望专题系列。 1、WordPress: 自从今年4月开始写作这个blog以来，WordPress成为我几乎每天都会使用到的软件，而WordPress也的确在今年取得了迅速的增长，成为继MT之后的另一个最受欢迎的blog系统，它方便易用的特性以及众多的插件系统使得很多人在建立独立的Blog空间时首选的就是WordPress。Alex Huang正在写一系列详细的WordPress使用指南，很不错的新手指南。 2、FireFox：不要笑话我落伍，我是到今年才开始正式转向使用Firefox的，之前用的是Maxthon，因为喜欢Maxthon的一些功能与使用习惯，比如Tab浏览，鼠标拖曳、手势，但使用Firefox之后很快就喜欢上这个软件了，终于全面转向Firefox，而且相比较Maxthon，我更喜欢FF可自由组合的Tab方式以及Adblock等等丰富而实用的插件（有空写篇我最喜欢的Firefox插件，呵呵），而且FF1.5的稳定性也已经很不错了。 3、GreatNews：虽然很多人都喜欢用在线RSS阅读器，但我还是更偏爱客户端工具，以前用的是D版的FeedDemon，直到遇到GreatNews，它优秀的界面表现、速度与操作习惯让我很快就抛弃了FeedDemon。我相信习惯使用客户端阅读器的人都会喜欢上GreatNews的，何况它还可以与Bloglines实现同步。 4、GTalk：我使用它只有一个最重要的原因：简洁，但能满足我的基本需要。 5、Picasa2：对于数码时代所带来的照片泛滥，或许Picasa2能够是一个不错的解决方案，反正它帮助我找到了遗失在硬盘里的一些照片，Picasa也让我抛弃了用了很长时间的D版ACDsee。

专业

如果有人对我说：“嘿，刘润，我认识一个18岁的男孩，高三了，学习成绩还不错。他很想帮你选择你从事的专业，听他的吧。”你一定会觉得我这个朋友是不是疯了。我30年来都没有完全想清楚自己想要的是什么，又怎么可以放心的把这关乎一生的重大决定交给这个未经世事、只知道读书的小孩子？

但不幸的是，我真的，把自己交给了这个18岁的小孩子。更不幸的是，其实你也这么做了。

我们都在自己18岁报考大学的时候，无所畏惧的选择了一样我们其实都不太懂的东西，叫做专业。并且用四年到四十年的时间来执行这个选择。

我听到很多人说“我妈妈说女孩子应该读会计，稳定”，“国际金融很热，全校的优秀学生都在报考，所以我也要报”，“计算机行业的薪水高”，“爸爸让我出国”~~~

这个决定对很多人来说，做的有点早。或者说，了解有关“专业”的信息有点晚。

职业

大学四年级的时候，所有不考研的学生都必须做出另一个重大的选择：职业。

但有多少学生真的知道咨询顾问每天做什么，客户经理有哪些职责，客户服务和技术支持有什么区别，银行和保险不一样在什么地方？谁负责回答学生们在选择时、和被选择时的遇到的这些问题？

对很多人来说，职业是对专业的一种继承。而两次不慎重的选择会完全改变一个人的轨迹。

这个决定对很多人来说，有点早。更应该说，有关“职业”的知识我们了解的太晚。

注1：大学学的东西是其实很有用的，比如对于律师、医生、会计。说大学知识没用的人，基本都是所学专业不等于最后职业的人，比如学化学的从事计算机。

注2：我读大学时放弃了我的兴趣计算机，读了运筹学作为我的专业；我毕业的时候放弃了我的专业运筹学，选择了计算机作为我的职业。

一周又一周，一年又一年，下周此时，圣诞已过，于世界上的很多人来说，05这年，就算过了，想想这周这年收获了什么呢？在过往中，偶尔停住，打量总结过往岁月，总能获益不少，而这也是豆瓣一周本旨所在。 老西儿也在Google 个性化主页利用Google base上有一个豆瓣新玩法，猜想顺着他的思路，应该能拓展出更多的玩法来，不妨试试。 无极显然是上周评论最多的，14号公映，豆瓣15号凌晨一点即有青岛大漠带来的新评论，而后评论源源不断，更是在周六由大家投票出让它占据了首页所有的位置，这还在豆瓣引起了小小的讨论。 双十二周一这天，昆明豆瓣利用小组召集，第一次聚会成功，总的说来，气氛不错，没用见光死，在这有他们自己的介绍。 本周暖暖鱼推荐小组： 1、恕不借书，凝风创建。推荐理由：有趣、好玩。相信爱书之人或多或少都有这情结，凝风在小组创建之始也分享了他的缘起，不知和你是否相同。 2、耳科手术室，不要为名字迷惑了，它是音乐小组，偏向非主流，无聊的头创建。 本周暖暖鱼推荐豆列： 1、明清小品&笔记， ' 静制作，推荐理由:同主题阅读，用心之作。 2、交互设计，透明河马制作，推荐理由：同主题阅读，带来新知。 仍旧在八卦中结束周刊，千寻发起了一个话题豆瓣词典，主要是豆瓣的一些专用词比如豆子，豆志，很有意思，比如未完成用的豆粉（豆瓣粉丝）即出自此处，要了解豆瓣这个应该少不了。 注：本期豆瓣一周由暖暖鱼执笔，蓬蓬、brant、大头绿豆协作。豆瓣周刊团队制作。

One of the things I really didn't notice in the craziness of last week is the negative sentiment expressed by some bloggers and technology journalists about the new release and re-branding of Konfabulator as Yahoo! Is it the start of the Spring Festival madness, or is it the unusual string of blue-sky days in the capital?

Something seems to be causing people driving cars around Jianguomen in Beijing to behave oddly. First comes this eye-witness report of a car exploding, emailed to Danwei last week by Comrade Jodi Xu:

A black Buick Regal exploded two hours ago near the "rainbow" of Chang'an Street in front of the Social Science Academy building. The driver was burnt to death with only bones left. The cause of the explosion is unknown.

At twenty past eleven this morning, a sound of explosion was heard, swiftly followed by heavy smoke darkening the sky and muffling the Social Science Academy building in the incident's vicinity. The car was caught on fire and the police stopped pedestrians from approaching. In 15 minutes after the explosion, there was still honking coming from inside of the flamed car.

Various versions of the explosion spread among the bystanders. A Mr. Gao who was 10 meters away from the car when the explosion set off said: "The car was slowly turning right onto Chang'an Street when it hit the base of the second ring road bridge. It bounced back." He continued: "though it is a little strange that usually car got on fire then an explosion was induced, but I heard the explosion first." A Mr. Zhao said: "I saw the driver was lighting up a cigarette when it exploded."

And then there is the person who decided to park his car inside the Starbucks in the front of the Jianguo hotel, only a few hundred meters away from the exploding Buick. Thanks to Michael McDermott of Gung Ho Films for the photos.
