I doubt whether it was due to the high usage of BT on the community network. The short-come for FTTB+LAN is, the network speed is not guaranteed. When there is less traffic, it can be super fast. [update]Spreadfirefox网站上有怎么在网页上添加这个下载计数器的方法,但Javascript的似乎能工作的不多。我这里用了它站上计数器的RSS,用PHP处理之后输出,然后用Javascript即可加入网页中。效果如上所示。

接到公司领导的电话,说,闾丘,我们的两会报道要加强个人特色,这样吧,在你们的华闻大直播里面,把你现在在北京联线的环节改一改,叫做闾丘说两会吧。
 
我的第一个反应,领导肯定受了别的台的刺激,想想应该也就是央视了。我知道,央视由个人化的节目,以前到现在的小丫跑两会,今年又有一个柴静的两会观察,不过因为时段的关系,我从来没有看过,所以也不知道是怎样的形式,不过既然领导有这样的反应,看来应该是做得挺有特色。
 
刚刚上了对方节目的博客,看来现在博客已经成为一个广告促销的地方,让我有这种感觉的是以前看到一些明星的官方博客,我只知道有官方网站,但是现在则更加简单直接。凤凰也有了自己的博客网,大部分是节目推销,不知道为什麽,对我来说,现在对于这样的形式还在消化阶段。
 
话说回来,刚刚看了对方的博客,并没有惊叹对方的浏览量,因为央视的收视人数和影响力决定了这样。这是央视的优势,但是这也就要求他们,应该要做得很好。不过央视把这个节目的看板放到了联播,很大的进步,很大的改变,作为一个观众,看到央视的进步,总是觉得高兴,因为未来华语媒体要和西方媒体争锋,说到实力,现在只有它,而且它是国家电视台,代表国家的形象和水平。更何况,它的开放,意味着别人会多点点空间。当然,对我们,相对的优势会减少,但是这样才会有进步,不然我的一些同事,还是沉浸在凤凰的过去的风光当中。
 
给领导这样一说,我忽然有了压力,因为我的节目时段,正好是央视的新闻联播,人们的收视习惯,时政新闻的权威和垄断,是凤凰没有办法相比的。比如主席团会议,全世界都只能看央视,我想我们所有的,就是我们的观察点,我们的角度,我们的分析,我们表达的空间,当然,这个空间对方正在越来越大,但是暂时我们还有。未来一个多星期,是要求我仔细观察,努力思考的时候,也希望各位网友提供我思考的方向。
 
说完新闻战,讲讲今天,一大早到了政协礼堂,一听说待会儿的神秘嘉宾不是胡哥,所有人的兴奋劲都消失了,一些台湾记者更是马上通知公司,不需要定卫星了,待会儿不管讲什麽,只会发一条普通的新闻。结果是老四。不过讲的话算是很重,他说,现在最重要的,是要制止陈水扁透过宪改实现法理台独,大陆会用一切的方法,而且会说到做到。算是有收获,不过谁来讲,效果还真的不同。如果是胡哥,绝对是所有媒体的头条,不过这样的安排,也许是要留点点空间。
 
不过大陆的强烈反应,有了回应,美国说,不懂中文,阿扁说,是cease,不是terminate,所以觉得不是改变现状,于是要求阿扁解释清楚,终止是不是就是废除。国民党现在也咬着不放,不过民进党就是耍太极拳。事情很有看头。
 
明天就是人大开幕,会公布政府工作报告,不过有人漏风,这次的报告似乎不是太精彩,于是我开始发愁,明天的新闻怎样写,才会不闷着大家,或者分成经济,民生,台湾加上军人反应,算是有点点看点吧。

不知怀着什么目的,这个有着gov.cn背景的所谓开源网站竟然发出这么一篇诋毁开源世界重要基地sourceforge的消息,声称SF封锁了中国用户,并且完全不给消息来源;而正在这个最伟大的局域网上的用户们可以实在地说,SF没有封锁我们。LUPA这么做,不是造谣是什么?

现在按正常手段访问SF,我们可以看到它主页上的所有内容,但由于看不到它的CSS,显示乱了一点,如果封锁的话,何苦只封个CSS呢?如果用HTTPS访问,我们可以看到所有东西,只到下载那一步,因为那一步的链接没有用安全连接。当然,我们现在不能直接看到SF的二级域名,项目页面也有问题,但我们仍然可以确实地说:SF没有封中国用户。

其实,这是一个用脚后跟都可以想明白的问题。如果不是出于恶意,就只能是弱智了。

是谁搞坏了开源的名声?就是这一邦人。

Oracle 杀入了搜索领域。虽然 Google 在互联网搜索领域独领风骚, 但 Oracle 显然要在企业搜索领域力拔头筹。日前,Oracle 推出了号称划时代的产品:Oracle Secure Enterprise Search(SES) 10g。赶紧找来白皮书研究研究。 这个产品的名字值得捉摸:Security + Enterprise + Search + 10g. Security Oracle 首先强调了这款产品的安全特性。可以安全的与 Oracle Internet Directory 同步;与微软的活动目录同步;查询结果与爬虫的选项以及索引数据都各自有一些安全特性。比如,关于查询,Oracle 引入了查询时验证的特性,未经授权的用户搜索特定信息的时候,他不应该看到的信息会被搜索引擎过滤掉。这个验证是动态的,用户友好程度应该不错,但是因为是动态验证,性能上会有影响。该特性可以和 ACL 验证方式结合使用,或者单独使用。 Enterprise 软件目标是企业客户。SES 可以处理企业内容几乎所有的数据源(Web Page/ Email /DB table/ API 定制的数据源)。这其中激动人心的是直接搜索数据库表。这应该是 Oracle 的强项,以前还没听说哪个企业产品是直接搜索 DB 内容的。SES 这个特定对很多潜在的企业用户来说是一个卖点。至于运行效率则不得而知。

Customer Focused … Humble … Under Promise/Over Deliver …

These are some of the key cultural traits the Web Search team here at Microsoft tries to live by.  Boy, were we surprised to wake up yesterday to a bunch of press saying things like “Microsoft:  Give us Six Months to Beat Google” and “Microsoft: We’ll Beat Google at Its Own Game”.  What’s up with those headlines?  They were crafted from an interview with Neil Holloway; he clarifies his position on John Batelle’s SearchBlog. We on the Search Team also want to clarify our position:

We believe that search is in its infancy.  We believe there is massive opportunity to improve every aspect of the search experience including:  basic web relevancy, new types of media, refining and interacting with your results, leveraging search server infrastructure to provide new services that were never before imagined, and so much more.  We are committed to building the world’s best search engine which helps you get your answers as quickly as possible – and we are excited to spend many years continuing to innovate on our customer’s behalf.

When you talk about basic web relevancy, our customers report that we’ve made some great progress over the past year, and I know that our research and engineering pipeline is overflowing with intriguing ideas that we will test and release as they’re ready.  Certainly newer areas of search like desktop search and mapping are areas in which many reviewers and bloggers believe we have some best-in-class features.  Next week Christopher Payne, VP of Search, will be in San Diego at ETech showing some intriguing improvements to our service, we hope these continue the trend.

That said, we won’t try to predict the progress of our competitors and so we won't forecast when we might take the lead, but this is a long term game and we are committed to helping drive the next wave of innovation in search for our customers.
