OSTG’s feed audience has tripled since the company adopted FeedBurner's feed management services. Coincidence? We think not. Seems fitting to take this opportunity to formally welcome the OSTG family to the FeedBurner family and our ad network. If you think we're geeked out about this news, just imagine how happy we've made the advertisers clamoring to reach the influential audience of people subscribed to technology feeds. OSTG joins a long list of technology publishers using FeedBurner including IDG, Ziff Davis, Wired News, Ars Technica, TechTarget and many, many others.
The top-ranked network of OSTG technology sites includes Slashdot.org, ITManagersJournal.com, NewsForge.com, Linux.com, SourceForge.net, freshmeat.net and ThinkGeek, one of the few places on the web where you can purchase Caffeinated Lip Balm.
We think Rich Marino, OSTG, Inc.'s Group President, sums it up best with the following quote which we've carefully extracted from today's press release. “We are delighted to be able to offer advertisers the opportunity to deliver pertinent, selective information to our fast-growing and loyal online community through the FeedBurner Ad Network. FeedFoundry tells us that over 30 million ad impressions are available each month, and our available impressions have grown 10% in the last two months. This represents a tremendous growth area for us in 2007. OSTG brings together a highly proactive and interactive group of professionals that is keenly interested in new, innovative products and services. FeedBurner equips us with the most accurate tools to analyze that demographic group, providing our sales team with important statistics for advertisers interested in reaching our audience.”

Yahoo!

last year I asked whether there was still enough material to post about. now I wonder what most 'infosthetic' works have in common: is it the attention to superficial decoration, a creative design approach to visualization, the desire to merge beauty & functionality, or a general lack of effective information communication?
an aesthetic representation of weather data, "designed to stretch the way we understand weather data". using real-time RSS feeds from user-selected geographical places, the application creates an artistically-driven space that dynamically changes as the weather changes over time. different variables (e.g. humidity, wind direction, wind speed, temperature) determine the visual parameters of the animations (e.g. bar size, direction, orientation, color).
