Yahoo Konfabulator

Yahoo! Browser
<script language=”javascript” type=”text/javascript” src=”http://yq.search.yahoo.com/javascript/yq.js”></script> <form class=”yq” action=”http://yq.search.yahoo.com/search” method=”post”> <input type=”hidden” name=”context” value=”<?php the_title(); ?>” /> <div class=”yqact”> <input class=”yqbt” type=”submit” value=”Y!Q相关文章” onclick=”return activateYQ(this)” /> </div> </form> 其实是拷贝车东的,就改了一句WordPress调用文章标题的代码。
Source favicon19:00 Keep on Blogging! » CNBlog: Blog on Blog

keep on blogging

Jumping off the 32nd floor of the Kerry Center has a success rate of 100%.Here's a useful tourist map of Shanghai - it labels fourteen choice spots to go kill yourself. Adapted from a location map for the 2002 4As Creative Awards Roadshow, this image began circulating online last year but has only recently caught the attention of the traditional media. Experts have been trotted out to decry the harmful influence it will have on the youth, and the subway option has attracted quite a bit of attention, since 48 people have been killed that way since 1995. There's a feeling that as suicide methods go, jumping on the rails is particularly irresponsible since it inconveniences so many people. Fortunately the map provides 13 alternatives. The compiler of this guide remains unnamed, although this guest-book post from June last year bears a remarkable similarity to the info on the map. The translation below follows the map markers roughly from top to bottom.

Source favicon11:12 Author of To Live has a new book out » Danwei RSS 2.0
Yu Hua, the author of To Live, which Zhang Yimou turned into an award-winning movie, has written new novel. Brothers 《兄弟》 is Yu's first fiction in a decade, and at over 400,000 characters it's nearly as long as his previous three novels put together. It narrates events from the 1960s, through the Cultural Revolution, and up to the present day - basically the span of Yu's own life. Yu describes this novel as a break with his past techniques: This novel avoids the narrative finesse I've used in my previous novels, and instead employs head-on narration similar to the "strong narration" of Dostoyevsky or Dickens. Upping the narrative strength lengthens the book; my previous novels weren't very long because their narration wasn't strong enough. Within this direct narration, there are still the absurd situations that Yu is known for. In an interview with The Beijing News he decribes a scene in which the father of a peeping-Tom drowns in a latrine when he goes peeping himself. This year we're also looking forward to more of Yu Hua on screen. A television adaptation of To Live is nearly complete. Titled Fugui (after the main character), it will tell in 30 episodes what Zhang Yimou's movie managed in two hours, and it remains to be seen whether the actors can come anywhere close to Ge You and Gong Li. And if all goes well, a movie based on Chronicle of a Blood Merchant, Yu Hua's last novel before Brothers, should start shooting by the end of the year.

Add RSS to My Yahoo!

Add RSS to My Yahoo!
Add RSS to My Yahoo!

Sour and sweet Kristy Zhang.Mengniu, dairy to China's space program, is running a series of ads featuring runner-up Super Voice Girl Kristy Zhang (张含韵). In what may be a poke at the type of talent that often appears on the "Idol"-style show, Ms. Zhang starts out singing horribly off key. One sip of Mengniu Sour Yogurt, though, and she sounds precisely like the studio version of her song. The song she sings is the advertising jingle, "Sour and sweet is what I am," but it started out as "Pretty Young Thing," a tune sung by Lene Nystrom of the pop group Aqua. While Mengniu keeps the original music, it doesn't bother to translate "i wanna bruise your lips with a tender kiss / i wanna crush your heart / i wanna be your scar;" rather, Ms. Zhang's version is the innocent dream of a girl who just wants to grow up: With earphones in my ears I read comic books under the covers. I may still be in an ivory tower, but I really want to grow up. Mom and Dad, don't call me stupid. Although I listen to you, that doesn't mean I don't have any thoughts of my own.
