它有类似del.icio.us的一些基本功能,可以导入del.icio.us和firefox的书签(?)。

Back from Italy with many photos in my digital camera, however, there are also something to forget for the sake of good memory. This 2 week trip can be divided into 2 parts:the first is a Sino-German conference on Library and Information Science; next we arranged an academic journey to 3 libraries in Netherlands,France and Italy. Rome is known for its sun, sea, sand and story(4S).the magnificent church in Vatican prove the history of Italy and its splendid renaissance, nowadays we are struck by Ferrari racecar and football sport. Walking through the ancient relic left by Rome empire, one may trace back 2000 years ago and found civilization has its own regulation. BnF (French National Library)’s new building is located near the River Seethe design of library is dramatic with 4 towers on the 2 round rectangle. The first story is research library for those who do science research and its seats and books need reserved beforehand, the second story is open for pubic as reference library. there are about 1 million readers in Bnf and about 5 million to 10 millions books are ordered. Readers should pay for entrance of BnF,the price is 3 Euro a day and year card is 30 Euro and students may have half price. It’s a pity that BnF English version of website is still under construction and further information need more time to explore on the web. KB(Netherlands National Library) warmly welcome us with sweat cookies and thorough introduction. KB is known for its long term preserve application on the bases of IBM DIAS?.Its emphasis on library communication is also impressive as KB do hard to forge its brand of national knowledge repository. TIB/UB (German National Science Library) is the host of this conference and we also pay a short visit to its library. It’s amazing to find everything is under control in this library no matter print or digital or CD-ROM. The director of TIB/UB Rossmann is engaged on the national science search engine-Vascoda with the mission of discover the quality information for researchers and students in Deutschland. Mr. Rossmann is also the director of Subito-the famous document delivery service in German with over 1 million orders in 2004. It’s very nice to meet so many German colleagues and we share comprehensive concerns on digital library and cooperative future. I would better digest our meeting the next day by forgetting something in Volkswagen museum ”autostate”. Some dance to remember, Some dance to forget…

Source favicon13:48 Xerdoc网站静态化备忘 » We get to be strong cause we are together

Many have complained in recent months that my trackbacks were broken. Well, they're mostly back. It took a while to fix, but they do show up. Sometimes there's a delay, but that's by design (sort of). I'm very, very close to starting a migration to WordPress but may not get to that until sometime in July, based on my schedule for the next few weeks. MovableType has treated me well for several years now, but the more I play with...

And is has for quite some time. This recent speculation is fun and all, but WTF? Try a search for yahoo browser and you'll end up on this page, which describes the SBC Yahoo! Browser. I seem to remember there being a Yahoo! branded web browser at least as far back as 1999 when I joined Yahoo. I guess you could say we've been there, done that, and probably even made some t-shirts back in the day. These are not...

Source favicon00:44 How long does it take to double your money? » Jeremy Zawodny's blog
I remember learning, way back in junior high school, about how compound interest works. But for some reason I'm never able to remember the silly little formula for figuring out how long it takes to double an investment, given a fixed rate of annual return. So here's a quick reminder. The "Rule of 72" says that you take the interest rate (assuming that it's compounded annualy) and divide 72 by it. For an investment that yields 7% annual returns, that...
