23:15 Pubvertise Your Live Content to a Wider Audience » Burning Questions - The FeedBurner Weblog

They laughed at us in Geneva when we presented our new word to the scientific community, but it's the surest way to describe our latest enhancement to Headline Animator. Publish + Advertise, all in one place (and let's not kid ourselves, "adverblish" isn't going anywhere).

Headline Animator - through its many transformations - is morphing into quite the marketing tool. Why do we continue to call it a Headline Animator when others refer to these things as widgets? Because we are a stubborn people, some would say an ornery people, raised on the hardscrabble plains east of Medicine Hat, eking out meals of corn with more corn, and we say it's a Headline Animator…where were we? Oh yes. For those of you tracking the Headline Animator's evolution via ham radio or this blog, you already know that it helps build your audience by enabling feed promotion on MySpace, other blogs, in forums, even at the bottom of your emails. Or, you can just grab code and put it wherever you think it should go. Leveraging Headline Animator to advertise your content in other feeds is the next step.

How it works
By connecting the simple-to-use Headline Animator service to our world-class feed advertising network we can give content publishers the ability to create their very own dynamic, feed-powered ad units and place them in the feed ad network (all by themselves). No sales folks, no ad trafficking to ensure the creative is current. No speed bumps. Just you and your content, going more places. This is the fast-track method for putting dynamic content in front of an audience subscribed to the most popular feeds on the series of tubes. If the world's top blue-chip advertisers can advertise in feeds, why not you too?

Sample ads
Feed-powered ads reflect the most current headlines from your feed and they can be designed to suit your marketing needs. Create an ad encouraging feed subscription using one of our standard template designs. Or, paint your own canvas by linking to a background image you host. Check out these sample ads below:

Quality and reach of the ad network
Rarely has the almighty dollar gone so far. Place your ad in a target channel (e.g. Business, Arts & Entertainment, Travel) and it will run on established brand sites like the leading newspapers and media properties (e.g. USA Today, Wired, Newsweek), top blog networks (e.g. Gawker Media, B5 Media, Gothamist LLC) and independent sites across a diverse range of topics. This type of ad buy gives you scale and access to an audience consuming content away from traditional Web sites.

Getting Started
The process for creating and placing a Headline Animator ad is simple. Sign in to your FeedBurner account, select the feed you want to promote, navigate to the "Publicize" tab and look for the Headline Animator service listed in the left-hand column. From there, you can create your ad. (View a sample configuration screen) For more information, additional FAQs are included at the end of this post. If you publish regularly updated content and you want to put that content in front of more eyeballs, this service is for you.

初识Toastmasters ClubI Love TMC » Che, Dong's shared items in Google Reader

Toastmasters Club

文/Nancy

Become the Speaker and Leader You Want to Be (成为你想达成的演说者和领导者)Toastmasters offers a proven way to improve your  communication skills.(Toastmasters提供一种被证明了可行的方式来提高你的思想交流技巧) By participating in a fun and supportive Toastmasters group, you'll become a better speaker and leader and gain confidence to succeed in whatever path you've chosen in life.

Deliver great presentations (发表良好的陈述)
Easily lead teams and conduct meetings
Give and receive constructive evaluations
Be a better listener

In October 1924, a group of men assembled by Dr. Ralph C. Smedley met in the basement of the YMCA in Santa Ana, California, U.S.A., forming a club “to afford practice and training in the art of public speaking and in presiding over meetings, and to promote sociability and good fellowship among its members.” The group took the name “Toastmasters.”(这个团队取名为”Toastmaster” )Soon men in other communities and states asked for permission and help to start their own Toastmasters clubs. By 1930, a federation was necessary to coordinate activities of the many clubs and to provide a standard program. When a speaking club in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada, expressed interest in forming a Toastmasters club, the group became known as Toastmasters International.(当这个演说俱乐部在新威斯敏斯特,英国哥伦比亚,加拿大都饶有兴趣地组织起Toastmasters Club时,这个团体就变成国际知名的了。)

-------------------------------------

(Although it never late to be there, I would never choose to be late.)7:10分开始,我们7:00钟刚好赶到。 Training,Table Topics Session,Table Topics Evaluator,Prepared Speech,Evaluation Session,Let the guests talk and Awards and Meeting Closing.

Word of the day: It’s never too late to------.

Feedback is very important to make you move on.How to give effective feedback? There are 3 tips:1、Be prepared.2、Be specific. How to be specific? Repeat, tell the effect, and recoganize the improvement.3、Be cautious.

Try to become the happy artist in life演说中引用的金三顺的那几句话来结束我的第一篇关于Toastmasters Club的文章:

去爱吧,像不曾受过一次伤一样 ( Love like never to be hurt)
(Dance like nobody will enjoy)
(Sing like nobody will listen)
(Work like needn’t any money)
生活吧,像今天是末日一样(live like today is the doomsday)

(Experience Toastmasters like tasting good wine)

13:06 Google Apps goes global » Official Google Blog

Our mission is to "organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful." Note that twice in this eleven-word mission statement, we mention that this is a global effort, not just a problem we're solving only for English-speaking users in the U.S. That global focus is critical, because fully 65% of Internet users around the world speak a language other than English. In fact, the Internet's top 10 languages still only account for around 85% of users -- and the remaining 15% represents almost 200 million people.

As part of our broader effort to make Google accessible to more people in their native languages, we're announcing a number of updates for Google Apps, our customizable package of hosted communication and collaboration applications for businesses, schools, and other organizations. Several features and components previously available only to English users and administrators of Google Apps are now available in other languages, too. Here's a quick rundown of what's new for non-English speakers:
Not only are we adding these features to the languages Google Apps already supports; we're also rolling Google Apps out in six more languages. Here's the full list: French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Turkish, Polish, Ukrainian, Czech, Russian, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hebrew, Indonesian, Hungarian, UK English and US English.

08:12 Google Finance in Canada - for real » Official Google Blog

Though it was noted a bit earlier, now we're really pleased to introduce Google Finance Canada, a localized version of Google Finance tailored specifically, as you might guess, for Canadian investors. Canadians are the second largest group of Google Finance users, and as a Canadian myself, I'm excited to see Canadian financial information presented in the familiar easy to use Google Finance format. This new edition includes:

In addition, stock quotes and charts for Canadian-listed companies are now available through the Google.com web search.
