- 75,000 shipping containers, the number of containers processed through American ports every day.
- 125,000 one-hundred dollar bills ($12.5 million), the amount the US government spends every hour on the war in Iraq.

外滩画报翻译了一篇英国卫报的文章，讲是否应该封杀否认纳粹大屠杀的言论的问题。纳粹言论在欧洲应该是严重的政治不正确，也就是错误，也就有9外欧盟国家立法禁止发表任何否认大屠杀的说法。像伊朗总统那样还开国际研讨会的到这些国家就要被起诉了。

德国司法部长解释这个禁令的用意是这样的：希特勒当年就是靠言论为大屠杀铺平了道路，所以德国永远有义务与各种种族反犹仇外主义作斗争，不应该等它们成为行动。这个用意是相当地良好。

但它很容易地碰上了一个案子，一家公司制作了反纳粹的T恤衫，被告上法庭，因为衣服上面纳粹标志，虽然上面还打着个叉。

BT同学也写了个故事，有关棒球高手王贞治的。他祖籍浙江，出生在东京，只因为他爸的原因保留了国籍，于是他现在是台湾人。做出如此牛B的教育成果的人士的用意明显，但我很喜欢他们碰上这个故事。

现在又有说法要求中央台不能做里面有猪的广告，这也是个禁令，用意也不算很差。但不得不说，这个说法给所有大民族主义者一个受害人的光环，从而让他们更加理直气壮。其实就是温和分子只怕也会被这个命令激发起来，在大年初一展示点动物图片。

北京还有一路公共汽车是731路，刚出来时许多人在网上鼓噪，说用这个数字用心险恶，必须禁止。幸而没人理会，现在它也只是个公共汽车而已。

那篇文章中还引用了印度检察长的说法：经验显示，禁止仇恨言论的刑法将会鼓励对自由表达的不宽容、分化性和不合理的干预……要打击顽固的偏见，促进容忍态度，需要的不是更多压制性的法律。这就是差距啊。
